	Our Classical Columns are available in four standard designs . All were originally drawn up by the famous Renaissance architect Palladio, who worked in the Veneto region just north of Venice in the 15th century. Our designs are taken directly from the source books of the period and they conform to all the classical rules regarding detail, including the special shape of the shaft with its subtle bulge called"entasis". click here to view column size options click here to view column steel specifications. Occasional non structural hairline fissures will be found in most runs of columns. They do not indicate inherent weakness of the element and can occur due to site conditions of thermal change or freeze thaw in cold climates.
