Tuscan Column Profile |
Our Architectural Columns are
available in four standard designs . All were originally drawn up by
the famous Renaissance architect Palladio, who worked in the Veneto
region just north of Venice in the 15th century.
Our column designs are taken directly from the source books of the period and they conform to all the classical rules of architectural columns regarding detail, including the special shape of the shaft with its subtle bulge called"entasis". click here to view Tuscan column size options click here to view Tuscan column steel specifications. The Verona Column. The Carrara Column. The Temple Column. The Castle Column. The Macedon Column Note carefully that our reformed sandstone is handmade from raw stone and has the brittleness characteristic of natural stone. Occasional non structural hairline fissures will be found in most runs of columns. They do not indicate inherent weakness of the element and can occur due to site conditions of thermal change or freeze thaw in cold climates. |
